It was the battle of two behemoths. Andre the Giant and Big John Studd. A war being waged over who really was the giant of the pro wrestling world. Months prior, Studd had helped cut the hair of Andre in a despicable act. Andre seeking revenge and ready to put an end to the question of “who is the real giant?” challenged Studd to a bodyslam match. First one to bodyslam their opponent would win the match and be given $15,000. When Andre finished off Studd with a mighty bodyslam, he took his winnings and shared them with the crowd. Throwing bills to the fans in attendance. A true WrestleMania moment at the inaugural event.
